About the book
I grew up on a golf course in Pulaski, Virginia, watching my father crouch in the trees, looking for a gap nobody else could see. He wasn't picturing the trophy. He was picturing one shot. That difference is what this book is about.
A post in my feed said the CIA had explained magic. I read the file. Then I read the 1910 book behind The Secret, and The Secret itself. I set all three side by side and tested them the only honest way I know: against the research, and on a golf course, with Sarazen, Jones, Hogan, Nelson and Penick as my witnesses.
Picturing it done works. Just not the way the bestsellers say. You see the shot. You name what's in the way. You plan the swing. Then you swing.
This book is for golfers, coaches and anyone building something that lasts. Coach the life. Then the sport.
Coming soon. Want to hear when it's ready? Email me and I'll let you know.
Tip from the Fairway
A few words from golfers who have thought hard about the mental game:
“I never hit a shot, even in practice, without having a very sharp, in-focus picture of it in my head. It’s like a color movie.”
Jack Nicklaus, quoted in “Jim Flick and Jack Nicklaus: Go to the Movies,” Golf Digest, April 27, 2010
“Shut out all thoughts other than picking out a target and taking dead aim at it.”
Harvey Penick, Harvey Penick’s Little Red Book (1992), p. 45
“You can’t catch a fish unless you keep your line in the water. You have to be patient.”
Sam Snead, “My Shot: Sam Snead,” Golf Digest, February 2002
